Associate Minister

Steve has worshipped at St Mary's for over twenty years and was ordained in July 2017.  Prior to taking early retirement, Steve worked for Mars as a Production Operator.  Steve's ministry focuses on those who are older, Knowl Hill School and the Caring CoG.  He is married to Lesley, who has retired from a career in Education, as Headteacher at Piggott Junior School and Church Schools advisor.  Their daughter Nicky and her husband Len work with for 'Youth With A Mission' (YWAM) in Japan.

Lay Minister (Licenced for funerals)

Andy has been involved in St Mary's since 1985. He owns a recruitment, training and consultancy business in which he continues to be active. Within the church, Andy is responsible for communication and administration.  He has developed his ministry around Hospital (Royal Berkshire) and Funerals, as well as working with the Robert Piggott Infant and Junior Schools. He is married to Janet, has two married daughters and five grandchildren.

Church Warden

Mark, a GP at Wargrave Surgery since 1989, has recently stepped down from being a full time partner. He and his wife Susan, a GP in Woodley, are continuing to work 2 days a week in their surgeries. They moved to Wargrave in 1993, when they started attending St Mary's. He tries to set a good example to his patients by keeping fit, walking, cycling, skiing, canoeing and jogging. Otherwise, for a rest, he enjoys theatre and opera and playing bridge. Their daughter, Helen, is training to be a GP. Mark used to be a decent golfer, but sons, Matt and Tim, now hit the ball much further than he does.

Mark was elected in July 2021 as churchwarden.

Church Warden

Sue moved to Wargrave in 2001 as a result of taking a secondary school teaching job in Maidenhead. She has been involved with St Marys for most of this time. She retired just over a year ago with the intention of continuing her love of travel  - and doing this out of school holiday times. She enjoys swimming, skiing, trying to stay on a horse, and spends a lot of time dog walking. She has been married to Steve since 2006, another retired teacher, who still works for an exam board, and who is a very keen horse rider.

Administration Manager

Lucy supports the administrative needs of the busy parish. She is the person for life events (marriages, baptisms and funerals) as well as Church, Church Centre and Hannen Room bookings.

She is available in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9.30am - 1pm.

Communications Manager

Rosalyn is responsible for the communication and website needs within the parish.  She will be working on producing the Weekly Notices, AV slides, keeping the website up-to-date and social media.

She is available in the office on Mondays 10am - 12pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9.30am - 1pm.
